While many times in the past embracing one's "feminine side" has been seen as an important part to masculinity, it seems to have been encouraged to go further in current days.
I have felt that girls are quick to ask and ask implying questions related to gender identity in many situations, along with LGBT friends that are trying to be more than friends. Many females I have met seem to be attempting to undercut masculinity with that, or both genders see themselves as some sort of LGBTQ liberator.
Either way it seems to be a ploy by females to see your reaction and gauge your masculinity
